Cancellation Policy
GermanMarkt is cash on delivery. You don’t pay anything until the box arrives in Egypt, so there’s never money to refund — only an order to cancel before someone has shopped for it on your behalf.
The 24-hour self-cancel window
You can cancel your own order with one click on the Orders page during the 24 hours after you place it, as long as nobody has started shopping for it yet. The button shows a live countdown so you always know how much time is left.
After the 24 hours, or after a partner has claimed the trip
Once the window closes — or once a delivery partner has claimed the trip and started buying your items at dm.de — the self-cancel button locks. Email support@gm-egy.com and we’ll cancel it manually if we can. If a partner has already paid for the items in Germany we may not be able to cancel on your behalf — we’ll always tell you upfront.
Items unavailable at dm.de
Sometimes a product is sold out by the time the partner reaches the store. We mark that item as unavailable, your COD total automatically drops by the price of the missing item, and you’ll see a notice on your Orders page explaining what was dropped and how much you owe now. The rest of your order still ships.
Refusing the box at delivery
If the box arrives damaged, the items look wrong, or you have any other concern at the doorstep, you may refuse delivery. You won’t be charged anything because nothing has been paid yet. The partner returns the items to us and we follow up with you to figure out next steps. Repeated unwarranted refusals may flag your account, so please only refuse when there is a real issue.
Damaged, wrong, or counterfeit items after delivery
Open a dispute from the Orderspage within 72 hours of receiving the box, attach photos, and our team will review. If we agree the order didn’t meet expectations, we’ll cancel the COD charge for the affected items and arrange pickup or replacement.
What we don’t do
- We don’t cancel individual items from a multi-item order — only the whole order. (The exception is items dm.de runs out of, see above.)
- We don’t adjust a placed order if FX rates or product prices change later. Your COD total is fixed at the moment you check out.
- We don’t auto-cancel orders that sit in our queue for a long time. If you’re wondering about a stale order, email us.
